Internship Opportunities

***ALL PAID INTERNSHIPS HAVE BEEN FILLED. However, we are still taking applications for unpaid intern positions.

OTR Film Festival Marketing and Promotion

Timeline: May 2023 – July 2023 (Must be available July 6-8th)

  • Attend weekly OTR Film Festival Marketing meetings
  • Work alongside the social media team (overall assistance with social media monitoring including but not limited to: content concepts & ideation, creation, engagement, posting, responding to customer inquiries)
  • Help build brand awareness and promote the film festival by assisting with street teams, coordination of volunteers, advance screenings, and other local marketing events & efforts
  • Assist with email campaigns and press events
  • Assist with the creation of press kits & social media kits 
  • Checking festival phone messages and faciliating a response
  • Assisting with assembling passholder information

OTR Film Festival Special Events Planning Support

Timeline: May 2023 – July 2023 (Must be available July 6-8th)

PRODUCTION DUTIES:

  • Helping with set up and  breakdown of the step and  repeat, tables, decorations lights and  sound systems at events
  • Assisting with Talent coordination of speakers and  performers
  • Running lights or sound at events under supervisions of producers
  • Helping producers tackle any issues with props items or elements on the day of the event
  • picking up or dropping off props sound equipment or other items

ROOM DUTIES:

  • Being point person to direct guests to different areas of event
  • Helping collect tickets problem solve and  answer guest questions

OTR Film Festival Digital Media Support

Timeline: May 2023 – July 2023 (Must be available July 6-8th)

  • Attend weekly OTR Film Festival Marketing meetings
  • Perform quality control checks on films for screening
  • Assist with the captioning of film trailers, promotional video/photo elements, and pre-screening reels produced for the event
  • Assist with uploading approved films and their specs to our festival’s virtual platform
  • Create film pages in ticketing software
  • Capture red carpet and event video during the festival and festival lead-up activities
  • Assist with production of daily event recap videos
