Kate Rigg ‘s comedy career started with the cult hit “Kate’s Chink-O-Rama: featuring the chinkorama dancers” which toured the country, was invited to PSNBC, HBO Time Warner Workspace, and was excerpted for PBS. As a standup comedian she has been to the Montreal Comedy Festival, The Vancouver Comedy Festival, hosted National Tours of Singalong Sound of Music, appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central, and was a comedy correspondent on the Dr. Phil show for 3 seasons. With the spoken word punk duo Slanty Eyed Mama featured in this film, she has been invited to the Smithsonian Institute, taped for PBS, Comedy Central LOGO and toured extensively. As a regular yet Asian actor she has been seen on Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Law and Order CI, Th Path, Marvel’s Punisher, and done voices for Fox’s Family Guy. She created two comedy based competition shows for television, “Dance Your Ass Off” and “Cache Craze”. She is a NYFA Fellow, an NEA grantee, Won the Interarts Award at Juilliard where she first met collaborators Carrie Preston (director) and Lyris Hung (the other half of Slanty Eyed Mama featured in this film).
